Elmer  BradleyElmer Bradley , 85, of Chesapeake, Ohio went to his heavenly home Tuesday November 13, 2007 at home. He was a loving husband, father, and papaw. He was born March 28, 1922 in Ethel, WV, son of the late Fred and Zilla Bradley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter Michelle Bradley; son-in-law Gene “Pops” Lewis; mother and father-in-law Fred and Elsie Morrison; and many brothers and sisters. Elmer was a Navy World War II Veteran and was a retired Coal Miner. He was a member of Tri-State Worship Center. Elmer is survived by his wife of 63 years, Evelyn Morrison Bradley; five children Carrol D. Lewis, Bobby and Kay Bradley, Judy and Craige Kinney, Louise and Bobby Corns, and Fred and Teresa Bradley; ten grandchildren Michael Lewis, Allan Lewis, Kenneth Lewis, Billie Joe Hyslop, Bobby Bradley Jr., Christina Viars, Tonya Beckelheimer, Waynie Hancock, Steven Bradley, and Kristy Moreno; 21 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter Malia Lewis; one brother Orville Bradley of Logan, WV; sister-in-law Lula and Jim Adkins of Logan, WV; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Saturday November 17, 2007 at Hall Funeral Home by Pastor Terry Wagner. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens Miller, Ohio. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday November 16, 2007 at Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio. The family would like to express a special thanks to Hospice of Huntington. VFW Post #6878 will conduct military graveside rites. I will Always remember the stories of when dad(Edward Morrison)and Elmer was growing up. even tho i am a Cousin i always thought of you guys as my Aunt Evelyn and Uncle Elmer. Uncle Elmer always spoke his mind and told you how things should be he never candy coated life. Its been almost 20 years since i've seen him, but i really enjoyed talking recently to him on the phone. To all his children your father was a great man,I'm sure you already know that. Aunt Evelyn, I'm so sorry to hear of your lose. I picture him in heaven. He's gunna be the easiest one to spot. Uncle Elmers gunna meet us on the other side on a lawnmower keeping heaven beutiful as he did the many lawns over the years. Uncle Elmer when you see Dad tell him i miss him too .see ya soon unc

To my papaw and my best friend, I have had the honor of taking care of you for the last 2 years. I started off as just your granddaugher and suddlenly became best friends. We have laughed and cried together. I hope that I was strong for you in all the ways you taught me. I will never forget the last 2 hours of you right state you took your arms and retch for me to come close and huge you those are times that can not be taken back. I just your mansion is what you always wanted it to be. I love you and will never be more thankful to have been with you my whole life. P.S. tell Jesus I love him too.
