Jackson Milam, 87, of Crown City, Ohio passed away Monday August 18, 2008 at home. He was born February 1, 1921 in Bud, WV, son of the late Henry Thomas and Emmazela Whitt Milam. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Opal Lambert Milam; five brothers, and one sister. He was retired from St. Marys Medical Center. He is survived by his wife Frances Pemberton Milam; five children, Lewis Milam of Vancleave, MS, Emma Jean (Paul) Hale of Rittman, Ohio, Gloria Dean Milam of Vancleave, MS, Jackie (Tammy) Milam of Crown City, Ohio, and Diana (Bryan) Simpson of South Shores, KY; 15 grandchildren; 40 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; stepdaughter, Diane Chapman of Huntington, WV; two brothers Casey Milam of Matheny, WV and Hebert (Loraina) Milam of Ho Ho Hollar, WV; brother-in-law Carl Pemberton and nephew Jake; a very special friend and granddaughter Kendall (Dessie Milam) Hotmer; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Friday August 22, 2008 at Hall Funeral Home by Pastor Jerry Galloway. Burial will follow in Miller Memorial Gardens Miller, Ohio. Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday August 21, 2008 at Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.

I'll always have fond memories of Jack. He was such a sweet man. There was never a day when Jack didn't smile, regardless if you passed him on the road or if he was standing in the yard. A wave and smile would brighten up anyone's day. I will miss that wave and smile. Jack will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with you .
