Maxine White, 86, of Scottown, Ohio passed away Thursday September 10, 2009 in St. Mary's Medical Center. She was born June 6, 1923 in Scottown, Ohio, daughter of the late Lines and Olive Mann Wade. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Gertrude Short. Maxine was a member of Lucinda Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband William E. White; two daughters JoAnn Vititoe of Bucyrus, Ohio and Wanda Riley of Piketon, Ohio; one son Carl Cornell of Chesapeake, Ohio; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild; and two sisters Christine Short of Crown City, Ohio and Opal Murdock of Proctorville. Funeral service will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Monday September 14, 2009 at Hall Funeral Home by Brother Eddie Salmons and Brother Charles Turley. Burial will follow in Perkins Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday September 10, 2009 at Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.
