Leo "Bud" Thacker, 93, of Lavalette, WV, passed away Saturday September 12, 2009 at Cabell-Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted 2 pm Monday, September14, 2009 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio with Rev. Jack Rankin and Rev. Eddie Salmons officiating . Burial will follow at Cyrus Cemetery, Prichard,WV. He was born May 18, 1916 in Huntington, WV a son of the late Jerry and Bertha Fortner Thacker. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Charlene Staley Thacker, a son Jennings Thacker, three sisters Fern Murphy, Thelma Thacker and Irene Maynard. Surviving are his wife, Hastie Sullivan Thacker, two sons, Dallas Marvin Thacker of Lavalette, WV and Ralph Edward Thacker of Shinnston, WV, two daughters, Juanita Fay May of Ceredo,WV and Linda Lou Stajnrajh of Carmichaels, PA, and one sister, Opal Staley of Columbus, Ohio. Also surviving are 16 grandchildren and numerous great grand children. He was a member of Lucinda United Baptist Church, Carpenters Local #302, and Buena Vista Masonic Lodge #60 AF & AM.
