Geraldine E. Bowman, 73, of Nashville, Tennessee, formerly of Chesapeake, Ohio, passed away Friday, September 26, 2009 at home. She was born in November 16,1935 in Lawrence County, Ohio, daughter of the late Ernest and Alma Dement Black. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Bowman; and son Joseph Bowman Jr.
She is survived by her children, Betty McIntyre of Portland, TN, Connie Martin of California, and Bonnie Bowman of Mt. Juliet, TN; eight grandchildren of Tennessee and California; 10 great grandchildren of Tennessee and California; four sisters, Juanita Blevins, Rosemary Morrison, Donna Casteel, and Maxine Lykins; three brothers, Bobby Black, Paul Black, and David Black; and numerous nieces and nephews and friends. Funeral service will be conducted 1 P.M. Wednesday September 30, 2009 at Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio by Pastor Larry Casteel. Burial will follow in Chesapeake Memory Gardens.
