 George Walter Handley, 62, of Proctorville, Ohio passed away Monday October 5, 2009 in St. Mary's Medical Center. He was born December 5, 1946 in Cabell County, WV. He was preceded in death by his father George J. Handley, brothers John and Bill Handley; sister-in-law Charlotte Handley; brother-in-law Jimmy Johnson; mother-in-law Alice Johnson; father-in-law John C. Johnson and nephew Robert Johnson. George is survived by his mother Virginia Handley; wife Carolyn Handley; son George Handley; daughter Anita Dingess and husband Philip Dingess; brother Joe Handley and wife Charlotte; sister-in-law Sue Handley; brothers-in-law Johnny Ray Johnson and wife May, Mike Johnson and wife Loretta, Kenny Johnson and wife Mary; sister-in-law Donna Johnson; cousin Helen Flavin ; many nieces and nephews, Angie, Bill, John, Jim, Tim, John David, Sammy, Tammy, Chuck, and Gig; and special friends Dave and Grace Mills. Funeral service will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Thursday October 8, 2009 at Hall Funeral Home by Minister Willie Purdee. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memorial Gardens Barboursville, WV. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday October 7, 2009 at Hall Funeral Home Proctorville, Ohio. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/hall.

Carolyn, I am so sorry for your loss. George was such a good man and I enjoyed him and Anita as my basketball coaches. He will be greatly missed and if you need anything at all please let me know. I am just around the corner.
