Brenda Kay Lucas, 55 formerly of Charleston, WV passed away after a two year battle with lung cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents and several aunts and uncles. She is survived by her companion of 12 years David Davis, four children Carl and Kami Lucas of Pinch, WV, Lora and Mickey Mullins of Charleston, WV, Adam and Erica Lucas of Avick, WV and John Lucas of Elkview, WV; seven grandchildren Haley, Kayla Jo and Mavin Mullins, River, Reed, Van and Sailor Lucas; two brothers Tommy and Carman Ashworth of Merrillville, IN and Howard and Connie Ashworth of Charleston, WV. She was a former employee with Walmart. She was a caring and loving person who will dearly and forever be missed by all who knew her . We want to thank Heather Colley, a very special friend to the end, the oncology staff of HIMG, the infusion staff of St. Mary's Medical Center and to the nurses and staff of the sixth floor of St. Mary's Medical Center. There will be no visitation or service in Huntington, WV but a memorial service will be held in Charleston, WV at the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church on Saturday, June 26, 2010 at 3 p.m. Hall Funeral Home, Proctorville, Ohio is in charge of arrangements.
