Words can't begin to express a message that is appropriate. It breaks my heart that you and your family are going through this right now. I had fully intended on being there today but I woke up very sick and was not able to handle the drive. I hope that I can offer you just a little bit of comfort by sharing my belief. I feel certain in my heart that the Lord only calls someone so young by his side when they have fulfilled their duties on earth. Rylee clearly made a huge difference in the lives of many, and she must have been extremely special to light such a fire in your heart to fight for the rights of other people who have disabilities. God bless and if there is ever anything I can do for you, please let me know.

I had the great pleasure of getting to know sweet little miss Rylee & her incredible family when I got to play - well technically "work" with her in physical therapy. I have never met a more devoted and loving family than the Davis's! I got to play with Rylee from the time she was a little bitty baby girl until she was taller than me! She was an amazing little girl that touched so many lives with the help of her super amazing mommy, daddy, & big sister. I cannot wait to see her beautiful face again with her restored, totally healthy body when I get to heaven! Love and prayers to this sweet, loving, amazing family! I pray God will provide peace and comfort to each of them as they grieve for their Rylee bug. In her short 11 years of life, what an incredible legacy & forever impression she has left for so many of us that got the privilege of knowing her!

Dear davis family, I knew Rylee indirectly. Let it be known that her testament lived on indirectly through the people that were brought into her path. To see the positive impact she has had on my family was and still is beautiful. I loved hearing the stories of her getting her fibgernails painted and hair done. Love is powerful and something most people are afraid of, but I could see the love she freely and unconditionally gave through my sister. Rylee “Bug” Erin Davis, 11 year old daughter of Aaron and Deborah Davis and little sister to Ryann, passed away in her parent’s arms on Thursday, December 17, 2015. Rylee was a much loved daughter, sister and friend who impacted the lives of everyone who het her. Rylee taught us how to love unconditionally and unreservedly, holding nothing back. She showed us how to live life to the fullest, in the moment-with no regrets and no fear. Each day with her was a joyful lesson as she amazed each of us and defied all odds with her sheer tenacity and sweet spirit. We will never be able to thank our church family or community enough for the way they loved Rylee-as a young lady with bright blue eyes, big curly hair and the ability to bring out the best in those who took time to know her. To the circle of people who loved on her regularly we are so grateful for the love and gentleness you showed to her-MawMaw Vivian, Gigi, Granny Franny, Fric and Frac, ClaraBell, Troy Arron, and her entire care team-with special thanks to Auntie Charlotte, Dr. Pippa, and Nurse Judy Judy and Nurse Becky. It is impossible to mention each person by name but Rylee’s family will never forget the folks who fell in love with our sweet girlie: our friends who raised their children to see Rylee herself not a diagnosis, her entire team throughout the years who gave her care grounded in humor and hope, and of course all of her “RyleeBug Groupies” who span states, countries, and continents. What an awe inspiring thing to be able to say, “Our girl lived well and she was so loved.” A service to honor her life well lived will be held Monday, December 21, 2015 at 2 p.m. in her home church Antioch Missionary Baptist Church on Little Fudge Creek in Ona, WV with graveside service to follow. We hope that services will give everyone the ability to remember Rylee’s impact and leave each person with the impression of peace and joy she brought to us. In lieu of flowers, we ask that folks help us honor Rylee by continuing to help us minister to families like our own. Memorial checks should be made to “CIA (Compassion in Action) Project” and mailed to First Sentry Bank P.O. Box 790 Barboursville, WV 25504 ATTN: Fred Howard. While we will always miss our sweet girl we revel in the thought that she is running with her sissy and Jesus in Heaven. Psalm 139:13-16.
