Charles Galley Bowen, of South Point formerly of Proctorville, Ohio died on July 17, 2018 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. He was born on November 23, 1940 the son of Nolice W. Bowen, Sr. and Marie A. Bowen and grew up in Huntington. He graduated from Huntington High School and then served in the Air Force. Charlie worked and retired from the U S Postal Service. He then worked for various hardware stores in Proctorville. Charlie was predeceased by his parents, his sister Donna Sue Bowen and his son Tim Bowen. He is survived by his daughter Christa Bowen, his granddaughter Ashley (Bryan) Turner and his precious great-granddaughter Brooklynn of Detroit; his brother Larry Joe Bowen of Huntington; along with Linda Bowen, the mother of his children. He is also survived by his stepdaughters Janelle Barker and her daughter Nevaeh Brewer, and Calisha (Ryan) Chapman and their children Dacoda and Raelynn. Charlie was a member of First United Methodist Church in Huntington. Visitation will be held 5 pm to 7 pm Sunday, July 22, 2018 at Hall Funeral Home and Crematory, Proctorville, Ohio.
