Having a second mother in Helen Earl has been an honor. Our loss here on earth is heavens gain. That should be all peoples desire if we want to see our loved ones again. I am certain Helen is there and I will see her again someday. Being as close to the family as I am please know you are all in my prayers. May God Bless each of you. Alfie.

Jean Ann and I are sad to hear about the passing of your mother. She lived a long a fruitful life and you should be proud she was your mom. Helen Virginia Bailey Earl, 96, of Barboursville, WV, passed away Saturday, August 28, 2010. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, August 31, 2010 at 1:00 pm at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel by the Rev. Greg Cook. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Huntington. She was born September 1, 1913 in Dubuque, Iowa, a daughter of the late Claire James Bailey and Carrie Williams Bailey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leo M. Earl after fifty-seven years of marriage. She was a member of Providence Reformed Presbyterian Church. She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Corder of Huntington, WV, and Patricia Shepard of Barboursville, WV; one son, James L. Earl Sr. and his wife Maria Alice of Proctorville, OH; seven grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter. Visitation will be from 6-8 pm Monday at the Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville. Online condolences may be expressed to the family at www.timeformemory.com/wallace. The family would like to give a special thanks to our angels , Debbie Stewart, Heidi Durlam, Holly Winkler, and Shirley Albright. We know our Momo is spending her 97th birthday in Heaven with the love of her life, Leo.
