Billie Louise Williams Rice, 87, of Huntington, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, October 16, 2025. She was born December 12, 1937 in Huntington, W.Va., a daughter of the late, Orlas and Reva Ferguson Williams. She is also preceded in death by a daughter, Reva Louise Rice of Huntington and her brother, Robert “Mickey” Williams of Catlettsburg, KY. She is survived by three daughters, Tina Swindler of Hudson, FL, Paula Jones of Huntington, and Rebecca Chandler (Marshall) of Poca; six grandchildren, Jason Rice, Shane Morrison (Kara), Matthew Chandler (Shayna), Zachary Myers (Kate), Aubrey Chandler (Andrew) and Robert Jones (Brianna). Billie graduated from Rock Hill High School, Class of 1955, after attending schools in several states, due to her father’s job as a welder. She was a volunteer candy striper, worked soda shops, and factory work until she became a homemaker and mother. Her love of children was her calling, as she became a Nanny to several in the area. She was a member of Norway Avenue Church of Christ. She loved family time, decorating, beach trips, road trips, friends, reading, Christmas and made it magical, and being mischievous in the best ways as she enjoyed making people laugh. She was very brave and trusted in the Lord through her illness. We love you Mom a “bushel and a peck”. A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, November 9, 2025 with Minister Bradford Poe officiating at Norway Avenue Church of Christ, Huntington.
