 Margarett Ann Rakes, 82, of Milton, WV, passed January 11, 2026. Funeral services will be at 5 p.m. Friday, January 16, 2026, at White Chapel Memorial Gardens Mausoleum by Pastor Tracy Call. She was born January 15, 1943, in Wayne, WV, daughter of the late Andrew and Sadie Aliff Crockett. She was also preceded in death by her siblings Henry, Ira, Andy, Davey, Jesse, and Billy Joe Crockett, Ella Hensley, and Genevieve “Flo” Crockett. She is survived by her husband Harold Edward Rakes Sr.; daughter Tanya Stricklin of Milton; son Harold Rakes Jr. (Paulette) of Kenova; sisters Betty Merritt (Anthony) of Wayne, Darlene Stephenson of Wayne, Victoria Queen of Interlachen, FL; brother James Crockett of Wayne; grandchildren Katlin, Emily, and Trey Stricklin. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. Friday at the cemetery. Wallace Funeral Home, Milton, is assisting the family with arrangements.
