Oscar Aaron Thompson, 82, of Salt Rock, WV, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2026. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2026 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, with Pastors Charles E. Dennison, Gordon Simpson, and Mark Davis officiating. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park, Milton. He was born May 6, 1943, in Huntington, a son of the late Walter Harold Thompson and Martha Imogene Rayburn Gruden. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jean Thompson; three daughters and sons-in-law, Grace and Danne Vance of Barboursville, Barbara and Matthew Lusher of Virginia, and Wendy and David Ovitt of Salt Rock; one son, Oscar Aaron Thompson Jr. of Cross Lanes; 10 grandchildren, Nicole Autrey, Michael Thompson, Dakota Boothe, Bethany Arrowood, Ryan Thompson, Scott Lusher, Zachary Ovitt, Keyarra Ovitt, Kara Vance, and Danne Vance II; and 12 great-grandchildren.
