
Arnold “Bruce” Thompson, born December 29, 1954 (71), of Barboursville, went home to the Lord on May 9, 2026.
Bruce dedicated many years of his life to the auto parts industry, working with multiple dealerships throughout his career before retiring from Advance Auto Parts in Barboursville. He was known as a hardworking man who took pride in his work and the relationships he built over the years.
He was preceded in death by his newborn daughter, Kelly Dawn; parents, Dorothy and Harold Thompson; his sisters, Christina Thompson and Janet Thompson; and his brother, Tommy Thompson.
Bruce leaves behind his lifelong companion, Phyllis Thompson; his son, Bruce Jason Thompson; and his daughter, Jennifer Lynn Pauley (Ivan). He is also survived by his beloved grandchildren, Amber Dawn, Jessica Renee, Sarah Elizabeth, Brandi Lynn, and Kaylee Marie; his great-grandchildren, Kinleigh, Hayzleigh, Maddox and Eli ; as well as his best friend, Larry Ferrell.
Bruce will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him. His memory will live on through the many lives he touched.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park, Milton.
