Victory May Crowe, 107, peacefully passed away at Wyngate in Barboursville on June 11, 2026. Born May 19, 1919, she was named Victory by her father to celebrate the end of World War I. Victory was preceded in death by her parents Nancy and Jess Crowe and siblings Esselt, Jessie, Margaret, Carlos, Clarence, and Clement. She is survived by nieces and nephews from several generations including the Weekly and Nottingham families of Barboursville. She is also survived by close friend, Johanna Dempsey and her son Patrick, who is Victory's grandson by heart. Victory was a live wire and the Energizer Bunny rolled into one. She loved traveling and attending the latest movies, plays, and events with her sister Jessie. Independence, kindness and her witty personality were her trademarks. She was a marvelous cook and hostess and was happiest when entertaining friends and family. She worked 40 plus years in the office at Owens Illinois in Huntington. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff at Wyngate for their amazing, loving care of "Granny". Service will be held Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, in Barboursville at 12 p.m. preceded by a one-hour visitation prior to the service.
