Barbara Hicks, 88, of Huntington, W.Va., went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. She was born December 27, 1937 in New Orleans, LA, a daughter of the late, Warren Joseph Wild and Mildred Elizabeth Chauffe Wild. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmie Hicks Sr.; two sons, Jimmie Hicks Jr. and Mark Hicks; two sisters, Sharon McCarthy and Janice Blanchard; and by two brothers, Buddy Wild and Joey Wild. She is survived by one daughter, Sheila Hicks; one son, Michael Hicks; two sisters, Loraine Renfroe and Sandra Short; one grandson, Mark Hicks II; and one great-grandchild, Gregor Hicks. At her request, there will be no visitation or service. Wallace Funeral Home, Barboursville is assisting the family with arrangements.
