Bernice Ann Young, 89, of Ona, WV, passed away August 21, 2026. She was born December 4, 1936, in Boggs, WV, daughter of the late Herbert Russell Rodebaugh and Golda Ellen Hinkle Rodebaugh. She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Lee Young, brothers Gene Rodebaugh and Harold Rodebaugh, and sisters Gladys Martin and Shirley Guerreo. She is survived by one daughter Linda Young of Proctorville, OH, three sons Michael Young (Kimberly) of St. Cloud, FL, Rodney Young (Vicki) of Ona, WV, and Kevin Young of Barboursville, WV; one sister Mildred Handy of Denver, CO, seven grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren including special great grandchild Jadeland, and one great-great grandchild.
Bernice was a lifelong reader and puzzle solver, she loved to quilt, do needlepoint and work with yarn, she also cherished the game of golf. We will miss you! Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, August 28, 2026, at Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville, by Pastor Jamie Jefferson. Burial will be in Forest Memorial Park, Milton.
