1943 - 2026

Donna TooleyDonna Tooley, 82, went home to be with her Heavenly Father on September 2, 2026.

Donna was the daughter of Milford and Demetrius Maynard, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by the love of her life, her beloved husband, Ira Gene Tooley, whom she loved deeply and missed dearly, and by her precious son, Lee Tooley.

Left to cherish her memory are her two daughters, Kari Evans (Phillip) and Shari Bragg (Max). She was also blessed with a granddaughter, Cortnei Miller (Lee), whom she cherished with her whole heart, and her great-grandson, Brody Miller, who could always put a smile on her face simply by walking into the room. A dear sister Anita Sawyers that she loved visiting.

Donna dearly loved her girls and treasured every moment spent with her family.

Donna spent most of her life in Huntington, West Virginia, where she made many wonderful memories and built a life filled with love. When her girls moved to Florida, they took her heart with them. She and “Tooley” eventually joined them in New Port Richey, Florida.

For the last couple of years of her life, Donna lived at Sunflower Springs Assisted Living Facility and Magnolia Trails Memory Care where she developed special relationships with the staff, whom she loved so much—and who loved her in return.

The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to the staff of both facilities, as well as Gulfside Hospice, for the compassionate care, comfort, and support they provided to Donna and her family.

Above all, Donna loved her Heavenly Father. She and “Tooley” were faithful members of Camp Creek FWB during their years in Huntington, West Virginia. Donna carried a deep and abiding faith in her heart and longed for the day when she would be reunited with those she loved who had gone before her.

Though her family is heartbroken by her passing, they rejoice knowing that Heaven has gained a beautiful soul. Donna’s sassiness, laughter and precious memories will live on forever in the hearts.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, September 6, 2026 at the Wallace Funeral Home & Chapel, Barboursville. Burial will follow in Tooley Family Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers make all donations to Gulfside Hospice.

Donna will be deeply missed, loved, and never forgotten. Until we meet again in Heaven, Mom, we love you with all our hearts.
