Ada R. Scott, 83, of Ashland, Ky., died Friday, July 9, 2010, in Hospice Community Care Center in Ashland, Ky. She was born June 1, 1927, in Ashland, to the late Andrew Jackson and Bertie Whitt Rowe. Her husband, Robert A. Scott, preceded her in death. She was a retired service representative with GTE.
She is survived by two daughters, Jeannie Damron Simmons of Ashland and Becky Curtis and husband Danny of Ashland; three grandchildren, Drew Curtis, Courtney Curtis Whitaker and husband Mike and Fred Null and wife Kcathy; four great-grandchildren, Peyton, Lorelei, Kaelin and Amber; and Linda Crider of Morrisvile, N.C., whom she loved as a daughter.
A private service for the immediate family will be held at a later date. Entombment will be in Rose Hill Burial Park Mausoleum.
