Funeral services for Bessie Leona Hooks, 72, of Kenai, Alaska will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 26, 2004 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment to follow at Cunningham Cemetery also in Silsbee. Visitation will begin 5:00 p.m. Saturday the 25th at the Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hooks died September 21, 2004 in Kenai, Alaska.
A native of New Orleans La she was a long time resident of Hardin County and had moved to Kenai, Alaska in 2003 be closer to her son and family.
Survivors include son and daughter in-law, Winston and Pam Gillies of Kenai, Alaska; granddaughter, Tonya Silk of Kenai; grandson and granddaughter in-law, Mark and Shawna Gillies of Nikski, Alaska; great grandchildren, Victoria Silk, Max, Ireland and Chase Gilles, Dylan Jackson and Tessa & Holly Lewis; sister and brother in-law, Beatrice and Bill Jannise of China, TX; nieces Diana McCullogh and her husband Frank, Luzena Dionne and her husband Ellis; and many great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
