I was in the FFA at Jasper High School (Parliamentarian and chapter surgeon). I knew Slugger well. He was a character and his antics would make an interesting movie.

Paula and Melody, We're so sorry we didn't see the email sooner. We're so sorry about the lose of your dad. It sounds like he enjoyed his work with young people. It takes a special kind of person. Our prayeres are with you.

Our heart felt sympathy to the Slugger McGraw family. We were all out of town and just found out about your Dad. Please let us know about the memorial at a later date. We would love to see all of you and talk about "old times." We always enjoyed your Dad.

I had the honor of working with this fine gentleman over 30 years ago. To me he will always be the ambassador of East Texas. He knew everyone and everyone knew him. I have thought of him often over the years. I just happened to see something on TV that reminded me of him (plane crashing onto aircraft carrier in WWII - how he lost his leg). So I googled "slugger mcgraw jasper" and their was his obituary. My condolences to all his family and friends. May God give you comfort in your loss.
