Jean Faye Lauro, 91, of Wheelersburg, passed away Sunday, August 17, 2025 at SOMC Hospice. She was born May 19, 1934 in Athens, Ohio, daughter of the late William “Wayne” and Faye (Dartt) Wingett and was a Massage Therapist.
She is survived by two daughters, Linda (Jeff) Cottle, Jennie (Leroy) Kegley; four grandchildren, April (Billy) Slone, Laura (Nate) Henson, Lacey (Jonathan) Robless, Lindsay (Thomas) McKinney; ten great grandchildren, and one great great grandson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son in infancy, William Francis Lauro, and two brothers, Dave Wingett and Tom Wingett and a special friend of 31 years Homer Liston.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to SOMC Hospice, 2201 25th Street, Portsmouth, Ohio 45662.
A celebration of life will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg. A private burial will be held Thursday at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.harrison-pyles.com.
