Charles Melvin Ruggles, 72 of Wheelersburg, Ohio passed away August 29, 2025 at home surrounded by his large and loving family.
Charlie is survived by his wife of 47 years, Janet Baldridge; four daughters, Angela Compton (Matt), Rebecca Ruggles, Tracy Richards (Larry), and Christy Lewis (Scott); seven grandchildren, Samantha, Katie, Kirsten, Dakota, Gracie, Carter, and Ryker; six great grandchildren, Vivian, Malcolm, Katerina, Carson, Paxton, and Sylas; four sisters, and one brother.
Charlie was preceded in death by his mother, Opal Wheeler; his father, Orville Ruggles; three brothers, and one sister.
Charlie loved fishing with his grandkids. He loved talking on the CB radio and listening to the police scanner. Charlie retired from Abatement Insulators Union Local 207 after 25 years.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 4, 2025 at Harrison-Pyles Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with Pastor Chris Oiler officiating. Burial will be at Haverhill Cemetery.
