1925 - 2006

Ada Huff Dorsey was born November 25, 1925 in Athens Georgia, a surviving triplet born to the late Bill and Fannie Mae Dorsey. She received her early education in the public schools of Athens. Ada moved to Huntington, West Virginia at a young age. She was formerly employed by Barnett Child Care Center where she practiced deep love and care for the children. She was a faithful member of St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, where she was a member of the Our Lady of Good Council Guild and was a long standing member of the Catholic Daughters of America. Ada was an avid bowler and participated in several community and senior activities provided by Riverview Senior Apartments.

On March 8, 2006 Ada, departed this life to join her parents Bill and Fannie Mae, her brother L.C. Taylor and her sister and brother-in-law Gladys and Calvin Thomas who preceded her in death.

She leaves behind a sister-in-law Anna Mae Taylor, three nieces, Dolores Johnson, Carolyn Thomas Crozier (Tony), of Huntington, West Virginia, Anne Otey (Herbert) of Miami, Florida, one beloved uncle, Douglas Tolbert (Virginia) of Madison, Georgia, a dear cousin W.S. Styles of New Jersey, and a host of cousins, great and grand nieces and nephews, and many dear friends. The Funeral Mass will be 10:00AM Tuesday, March 14, 2006 at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, with Father Livinus Uba, officiating. Burial will follow in Woodmere Memorial Park. Friends may call from 5:00-6:30PM Monday, March 13, 2006 at the Callender Funeral Home, where the Rosary will be recited at 5:30PM.
