Funeral services for Vera Kate Whittlesey Allbritton, 82, of Lake Jackson will be 1:00 pm Saturday at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am Saturday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Allbritton passed away March 21, 2006 at Brazosport Regional Health Services.
A native of Jasper, Mrs. Allbritton was a long time resident of Silsbee before moving to Brazosport. She retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone Company, where she was chief operator in Silsbee and later, Building Supervisor for the Galveston District.
Preceded in death by her husband, George Allbritton, survivors include her daughter Jo Ann Holt and husband Russell of Lake Jackson; brothers A. B. Whittlesey of Houston and Forrest Ray Whittlesey of Elkhart and two grandchildren, 1st Lt. Kyle Holt of Shreveport, LA and Kelsey Holt of Nacogdoches.
