1960 - 2006

Brenda Gail EdmondsonFuneral services for Brenda Gail Edmondson, 45, of Daisetta, Texas, loving wife, mother, daughter and sister, will be held at 10:00 am Friday, March 24, 2006 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following in Cunningham Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Thursday, March 23, 2006 at the funeral home.

Mrs. Edmondson departed this life on March 20, 2006, in Nome, Texas from injuries received in a tragic automobile accident.

Brenda was a native of Beaumont and had resided in Daisetta for the past year. She was a registered nurse for the past 23 years and was employed by Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. Brenda had worked in the Skilled Nursing Facility for 15 years at St. Elizabeth where her passion and ministry of caring for the elderly gave her immense joy and touched not only the patients she cared for but all those who knew her. Her gentle spirit and loving manner endeared her to all. Brenda moved to Neuro on 6 North when the Skilled Nursing Facility closed after Hurricane Rita in September, 2005.

Brenda’s passion for nursing was second only to her love for her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter and sister. Those left to cherish her memory and rejoice in having had her in their lives are her husband Billy Wayne Edmondson, Jr. of Daisetta; daughter Stephanie Gail Templeton of Lumberton; stepson Henry Edmondson and stepdaughter Stacey Edmondson, both of Moss Hill; mother Elizabeth Helton of Beaumont; four sisters, Bonnie Lewis of Hemphill, Cynthia Maloy, Susan Ward and Linda Korns, all of Beaumont, in addition to nieces, nephews and a host of friends. To know Brenda was to love her. The pain in our loss is only diminished by the knowledge that she is in Heaven with our Lord Jesus Christ watching over us.

Although I didn't know Brenda personally, my thoughts and prayers go out to all of her family and friends. Brenda's sister, Linda Korns is an aquaintence through Dow Jones (I work with Gerry Gowman who was in the Beaumont plant for several years with Linda)and when I heard the news I was devistated. I also lost a twin sister 8 months ago unexpectedly and there are no words that can describe the pain. Only your faith in the Lord and the passing of time make it bearable. Sincerely, Pamela Plains, Dow Jones in Riverside, CA.

Brenda was an exceptional nurse and co-worker. It was obvious she loved the Lord and included that in her work daily. It was a privelege to work with her and she will be greatly missed. Stephanie-- You are in my prayers. God will provide the strength and courage you will need to take you to the next steps in your life. Let me know if I can do anything to help you in your future career or with anything else. Sincerely, Amy Ricks, Speech Pathologist
