Funeral services for David Don Spell, 64, of Bronson will be 3:00 pm Sunday at Farmer Funeral Home. Silsbee Masonic Lodge will conduct a Masonic graveside service with interment in Cunningham Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home.
Mr. Spell died June 8, 2006 at Woodland Heights Medical Center in Lufkin.
A native and longtime resident of Silsbee, Don had lived in Bronson for more than two years. He was owner of Spell and Spell Offshore International. Don was a loving husband, father and grandfather and enjoyed barbecuing, fish fries and spending time with his family and friends.
Don was preceded in death by his parents Gerald and Maple Spell and brother Herbert Spell. Survivors include his wife Carol Glover Spell of Bronson; daughter Kimberly Dawn Hignett and husband James of Montgomery; son Russell Gerald Spell and wife Regina of Montgomery; sisters Geraldine Lewis of Kountze, Laverne Oliver of San Antonio and Martha Baker of Kountze and grandchildren Jason Don Hignett, Stephen Joe Hignett, Kevin James Hignett, Kenton David Hignett, Kaitlin Dawn Spell and Matthew Gerald Spell, all of Montgomery.
