Mary Virginia VavalaMARY VIRGINIA VAVALA

Mary Virginia Vavala; born to Eva Lura and Ruey Allen Hooks, on December 24th, 1926 in San Antonio, Texas. Mary died at the age of 79 on July 24th, 2006 in Beaumont, Texas.

Mary remained the only child until November 2, 1937 when the family was blessed with another daughter, Evelyn Trafton.

Two children were born to Mary & Glen Stenderbach; a son William (Bill) Allen Stenderbach and Lenora (Lee) Fay Davis.

Mary was preceded in death by Glen Stenderbach and Frank P. Vavala.

Mary is survived by a sister Evelyn Trafton of Bryan, Texas, her natural daughter Lee Davis and son-in-law Dave Davis of Silsbee, Texas and a foster daughter Elaine Housman, of San Antonia, Texas, three stepchildren; Patricia Ann Coffee of Magnolia, Texas, Frank P. Vavala Jr. and Michael Charles Vavala of San Antonio, Texas.

She is also survived by three grandchildren; Vickie Marie Sands, Angela Lenora Moore and Shellie Stenderbach, six step grandchildren; Michelle Parker, Robert Coffee, Jr., Brady Vavala, Cory Vavala, Garrett Vavala and Matthew Vavala. As well as five great grandchildren Pamela Savarino, Jay Pease, Christy Savarino, Casey Pease, Tiffany Moore and one great-great grandson Cameron Savarino, and a host of other family and friends.

Just wanted to send you my condolences. My prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. I was lucky enough to be mrs. vavala's nurse in the er and am very blessed to have meet such a wonderful lady and family. Sincerely, Brittny (er nurse at st. elizabeth hospital)
