Carolyn Louise Ratcliff, 76, of Silsbee passed away peacefully on September 15, 2006 At Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont, Texas after a lengthy
illness.
Mom was born on July 27, 1925 in Port Arthur, Texas. She and her family moved to Silsbee in 1931 and she remained a resident for the rest of her life. Mom was a devoted wife, mother, mother-in-law and grandmother. Mom loved and enjoyed being with her family and friends and was always quick with a smile, a kiss, a kind word and a hug.
Mom is survived by her husband of over 54 years, A.P. Ratcliff. Mom is also survived by her three sons, Mike and his wife Penny, Pat and his wife Jana and Teddy and his wife Cheryl. Mom also has six grandchildren, Chris, Candace, Logan, Kaitlin, Joshua and Chase. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be held September 18, 2006 at 10:00 AM at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee, with Dr. Robert Carter officiating and assisted by Dr. Fred Rainey. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery in Silsbee. A gathering of her family and friends will be from 5 pm to 8 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
