Allen Otis Felps died Monday, November 13, 2006 at his home in Silsbee, Texas surrounded by family. He was 94.

Visitation will be 5:00 – 7:00 pm Tuesday at Farmer Funeral Home. Services will be 10:00 am Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Warren, Texas where Allen was a member for 20 years.

He was born in Fred, Texas. Allen served with the 36th Division in the US Army in the European Theatre during WWII. Al retired in 1978 from Texaco to travel and raise blueberries in the “Little Thicket” of Warren, Texas.

A. O. is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Doris. He is also survived by his children, Lon Felps and wife Kathy of Lumberton, Dan Felps and wife Debbie of Austin, Lyn Felps of Austin and Pam King and husband Kevin of Jacksonville and his grandchildren, Blake Hill of Jonesborough, Tennessee, Will Felps of Seattle, Washington, Tom Felps of Lumberton and Kris and Kayla King of Jacksonville.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church in Silsbee.

You have my deepest sympathy. My daddy loved Mr. Felps so much, as did all of our family. I live in Bryan and will not be able to attend the funeral but you will be in my thoughts and prayers. Judy Inman Holick

Allen O was a special person to my dad who he served with during World War II in the Service company. My family really enjoyed the yearly Service Company reunions in Lufkin.
