Funeral services for Wanda Dean Trahan, 51, of Buna will be 2:00 pm Saturday at Buna First Assembly of God Church with interment following in Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 2:00 pm Friday at Buna First Assembly of God Church. Arrangements are being handled by R. S. Farmer Funeral Home, Inc.
Mrs. Trahan died November 29, 2006 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.
A native of Jasper County, Wanda was a lifelong resident of Buna. She was a homemaker and a loving mother and grandmother. Wanda was lovingly known as "Wanda Dean from New Orleans" and "Mama Dean" by her family.
Survivors include daughters, Misty Chanelle Trahan of Deweyville, Angie Adelle Coleman and husband Randy of Buna and Shannon Denean Goodman of Buna; sons Christopher Jason Trahan of Buna; father William Burton Wales, Jr. of Buna; grandchildren, Cierra Trahan, Robert Trussell, Kendra Trahan, Stormie Trussell, Kaleb Trahan, Heidi Coleman, Christian Goodman, Cameron Trahan, Reese Coleman and Raylee Trahan; sisters Luouida Newbold and Penny Martin, both of Buna and Trudee Hinson of Lone Oak; brothers Simon Keith Wales, William Burton Wales, III and Glenn Darrin Wales, all of Buna and several other extended family members.
