Charles Lee Jones

Funeral services for Charles Lee Jones, 76, of Silsbee will be 2:00 pm Sunday at Farmer Funeral Home. Funeral service will be conducted by Reverend Robert Carter with Masonic graveside rites following at Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred conducted by Silsbee Masonic Lodge 927. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Jones died December 14, 2006 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

A native of Old Salem he was a longtime Silsbee resident. Charles served his country in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict, and retired from Bethlehem Steel as a Welding Supervisor. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be dearly missed.

Survivors include wife Carolyn Jones of Silsbee; sons Tony “Chow” Jones of Silsbee and Joe Jones and wife Cindy of Rialto, CA; daughter Theresa Crocker and husband Gary of Silsbee; mother Fannie Cain of Silsbee; brother Tommy Jones of Silsbee; sister Peggy Paine of Buna; step-sister Susie Pierce of Devils Pocket; grandchildren Justin Jones, Nathan Jones, Stephen Jones, Kristin Crocker, Jessica Crocker, and Terri Jones; He was preceded in death by father Delby Jones and sons Aaron Jones and Terry Jones.

The family would like to thank all the many friends that called and gave support and assistance during his illness.

Carolyn, so very sorry to hear about Charles. Although we haven't seen yall in a long time, will never forget all the fun we had back in our younger days. Seems forever that we stood as your witnesses when you married. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time and just remember, the Lord never puts more on us than we can stand.

We are so sorry for the loss of Charles and will miss seeing him at all the family functions with his smiling face. We are out of town for the holidays and unable to attend his services but you will be in our thoughts and prayers during this time of grief.
