Donna and Mr. Lindsey: I am so sorry for your loss. I did not see that Mrs. Lindsey had passed away until late last night after I got a phone call from Mother. I did not get to read the paper before I left for work. I cannot make the 10:00 funeral this morning. I am training two people and have no relief help this week of the year.
If has been 5 years that Daddy died now. We put him in the hospital on 9-11-2001 and he died on 10-9-01. The hurt never goes away; however, the scar on your heart heals over until something surfaces to remind you of a great memory with them and the ache returns. I cherish those memories and know you will too!
Love ya, Trudy

Dear Lindsey family,
I had the pleasure of having both Mr. and Mrs. Lindsey as teachers while in Silsbee. I have many memories of them both. As a child I dreamed of being a teacher. This happens when you have wonderful teachers such as the Lindseys in class with you each day. I did wonder however, how I would ever be able to work with my husband. (ha ha) I did become a teacher. I can only hope that when I pass away I am remembered as fondly as I remember Mrs. Lindsey. My prayers and sincerest thoughts are with you and your family at this time.

It's so hard to lose someone anytime, but seems harder this time of year! I lost my Mom in January, 11 years ago, and it's hard, but it does get better. I'll be thinking of you all. Carrie Holland Evans
