My heart broke for your sweet family when news of Clint's death was told to me. He and Kevin had been on Daniel's basketball team a couple of times. Daniel would have been 26 years old this year. It has been eight years, and some days are OK, others just hurt. I know you are all in the rawest pain you may have ever felt. Clint was so kind to me and our family, quiet, reserved, and very supportative. He did have to say anything to us when we lost Daniel, just be there. I was recovering from the flu, or my body would have been there. My heart was with your family, and my tears. Jeanie, please call me. One thing about God, He does make us have a very slow grieving period. I think it is his way to let our sorrow become beautiful in honor of our sons. Please know that you are all in my prayers, and if I can help anyone, please let me know. My number is 755-2618, cell: 658-8933. Beverly Salim

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of your son. As a mother, I cannot even begin to imagine the pain you must feel. We all think we will outlive our children and to have to give them up in the prime of their life has to be devastating. You have my deepest sympathy and if there is anything I can do, please let me know. Charlotte Stevens

Jeanie, I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your son, Clinton. Unlike others who will tell you that they just can't imagine what you are going through or how it must feel to lose a child; unfortunately as you know, I am not one of them. Jennifer would have been (24) on February 9th of this year and as others who have lost children have told me, it just gets easier as time goes by. Well, I can not say that yet, but there is always hope that time will heal our wounds. I have also found a bond with other parents who have lost children; an elite group you might call it, where no one ever wants to be a member. In this group though, there is a place where you can open your heart and tell your stories with people who understand how precious your memories are of Clinton. Since I have been a member since Dec. 10, 2005, I would be happy to talk to you at any time (724-0738; 728-9331). My heart goes out to you and your family during this time of loss and I will continue to pray for you all. Sincerely, Judi Thompson
