Sandy Diane SmithFuneral services for Sandy Diane Smith, 28, of Silsbee will be 2:00 pm Sunday at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Gore Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home.

Sandy died Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont surrounded by her family and loved ones. She had fought a long hard battle with kidney disease since she was nine years old.

Sandy was born in Kirbyville, Texas on August 28, 1978 but lived in Silsbee all her life. She was a 1996 graduate of Silsbee High School and received her BS in Psychology from Lamar University in 2004.

Sandy was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Jerry Von Clark and Morris Ralph Smith; great grandparents, James Wesley Clark and Johnnie and Sue Domino; uncles, Jerry Wayne Clark and James Ralph Smith and aunt Sue Brackins.

Survivors include parents, Joe Wayne and Debbie Diane Smith of Silsbee; fiancé Wayman Todd Jacks of Silsbee; brother Sammie Wayne Smith of Magnolia Springs; sister Christine Michelle Smith of Silsbee; grandparents, Harold and JoAnn Clark Henderson of Groves and Bessie Smith of Magnolia Springs; great grandmother Lavelle Clark of Silsbee; uncles, Terry Paul Clark of Blairstown, NJ, Jim Smith of Magnolia Springs and Chad Henderson of Port Neches; aunts, Brenda Jones of Silsbee and Cheryl Broussard of Bridge City; special nephew Chase Taylor Smith; nephews, Christopher Smith and Landon Henderson; nieces, Samantha and Amanda Smith and Katelyn Broussard; cousins, Kristi Gore, Kelly May and Kenneth Smith and special friends, Jamie Haire, Crystal Gore and Wesley Wiggins.

Sandy will be missed, by all those who knew her. She was always kind to everyone. Many in the Class of 96 were blessed to have grown up with her. Our prayers are with ya'll.
