Diane Margaret Tennant, aka Dee Appel, 61, of Lumberton passed away peacefully in her home after a long battle with breast cancer on Sunday, January 28, 2005.
Diane was born in Portland, Oregon to Howard and Grace Kenna. She resided in Oregon until June of 2005, when she decided to move to Lumberton to be closer to her children and grandchildren. Dee was a published author of more than 30 gift and children’s books, a legal investigator and legal secretary for 30 + years. She loved music, laughter and traveling.
Dee is survived by her daughter Jennifer Nazarian and husband Mike Nazarian and their children, Andrew, Zachary and Emily, of Lumberton, TX; son Eric Appel and wife Tifanie Appel and their son Branden Appel of Beaumont, TX and son Nikolas Appel, serving in the U. S. Navy in Norfolk, VA and his wife Joannie Appel.
A memorial service will be held at the Apostolic Church, 3333 Eastex Freeway, Beaumont, TX on Monday, February 5 at 3:00 pm. A memorial service will also be held at Dayspring Christian Fellowship, her church family for over 20 years and where she was music minister for 10 years. This service will be Sunday, February 11 at 3:00 pm.
