I just heard of you loss. I'm sorry to hear about this. Mr. Hinkie had a big influence on me in my early teenage years. I can remember him pulling into Thomas Auto in his big 4 wheel International pickup and jumpin out. Big cigar rolling in his mouth, dark glasses and muddy boot. I just thought he was too cool to be anybody's dad. He use to take the time to show me how to fix stuff on his logging trucks. He would then lower his glasses and say " Now boy, you'll have to do it yourself next time." I am happy to be able to say that I knew him. My heart goes out to Dee, Marsha, Jay and Kay. I ask God to grant you peace and comfort during this time. Just knowing that he was a positive influence to our community should bring a smile to you.
