Funeral services for Charles Everett Denmon, 83, of Lumberton will be 2:00 pm Saturday at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following in Antioch Cemetery in Buna. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Denmon died March 8, 2007 at the Arboretum of Winnie.
A native of Silsbee, Charles was reared in Buna and had lived in Lumberton since 1978. He retired as a shift foreman from Mobil Oil after 35 years. Charles proudly served his country in the US Army during WWII. After being discharged from the Army in 1946, he drove his personal car as a taxi for 6 months, and then moved to Beaumont.
Mr. Denmon was preceded in death by his parents, James and Bertie Denmon, son Everett Earl Denmon, brothers James Marvin Denmon and George Carroll Denmon and sister Wilma Jane Denmon Dyson. He is survived by his wife Yvonne Cochran Denmon of Lumberton and daughter Charlotte Keneson and husband Wendell of Kingwood; grandchildren Matt Keneson of Leicester, England, Mark Keneson of Dickinson, Bridget Keneson of Kingwood and Grace Goines of Splendora and six great grandchildren.
