Funeral services for Floyd Glenn Hargrove, Sr., 69, of Silsbee will be 10:00 am Saturday, March 17, 2007 at First Baptist Church in Silsbee under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home. Interment will follow in R. S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.
Mr. Hargrove died March 13, 2007 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.
A native of Hemphill, Floyd was a long time resident of Silsbee. He was retired from Mead Westvaco, where he worked as a power house operator. Floyd was a member of First Baptist Church for many years.
Mr. Hargrove is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carolyn Scott Hargrove; children Tammie Lesa Harwell and husband Richard of Silsbee; Carole Beth Johnston of Silsbee and Floyd Glenn Hargrove Jr. (Sonny) of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren Stephanie Cleary and husband Matthew of Pearland; Ryan Harwell of Snellville, GA; Benjamin Harwell of Beaumont; Andrew Johnston and wife Lisa of Katy, Erin Milstead and husband Lincoln of Stafford, VA, Floyd Glenn Hargrove III of Silsbee and Madigan Hargrove of Silsbee. He is also survived by great grandchildren Daniel Cleary of Pearland, Tyler Milstead of Stafford, VA, Alyssa Milstead of Stafford, VA and Kylie Johnston, Braxton Johnston and Connor Johnston, all of Katy; brothers Marvin Hargrove and wife Ann of Hemphill, Randy Hargrove and wife Brenda of Hemphill and Don Hargrove and wife Jane of Reno, NV; sister Mary Jean Page and husband Marvin of Nacogdoches and many nieces and nephews.

Carole Beth, I am so sorry to hear about your dad. Please know that I'm thinking of you and your family. Please except my condolences and know that I thought he was a very sweet man that loved his family. I got to know him while working at the Credit Union and thought very highly of him. I’m very sorry to hear about your sudden loss.
Having only met Floyd a few times back in 1997/8 I still remember what a warm and honourable man he was.
It's sad for me to think we can't now meet in September as planned.
We are thinking and praying of you and everyone there in these difficult times.
