Funeral services for Mary Doris Kirkpatrick, 82, of Buna will be 2:00 pm Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Buna under the direction of R. S. Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in Antioch Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Kirkpatrick died March 16, 2007 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.

Born in Port Arthur, Doris was a life long resident of Buna. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was member of the First United Methodist Church of Buna for 81 years.

Doris was born May 20, 1924 to J. G. and Mellie Hargrove of Buna. She married W. J. ‘Bill’ Kirkpatrick January 31, 1942 and they had just celebrated 65 years of marriage.

Mrs. Kirkpatrick is preceded in death by her parents; grandson Clay Kirkpatrick and brothers Weldon and George Hargrove.

Survivors include her loving husband Bill Kirkpatrick of Buna; son Billy Kirkpatrick and wife Paulette of Wharton; daughter Doris Sims and husband Jay of Conroe; grandchildren Leah Kirk and husband Chris of Hamel, Illinois; Gina Irwin and husband Jeff of Plano; Gannon Sims and wife Carey of Durham, North Carolina and Courtney Sims of Houston; two great grandchildren Will and Josh Kirk; brother Robert Hargrove and wife LaVee of Buna and sister-in-law Violet Kirkpatrick of Silsbee.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First United Methodist Church of Buna, P. O. Box 1148 Buna, TX. 77612 or The American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK. 73123-1718

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time... I will never look at an Azalea and not think of Doris, She was a sweetheart! She will be greatly missed.

Dear Uncle Bill, Billy & Family, Doris Gay & family, Marged & I are so sad to hear of Aunt Doris's passing. We want you to know that our love and condolences are with you even though we won't be able to be with you at this time. We love you and Aunt Doris, Uncle Bill, and always will treasure the moments we were able to see you. May Heavenly Father give all of you His comfort and love. He will help us all during these very sad and lonely times ahead. May all of you always know of our love for you. Give each other big hugs from our family here in Utah.
