Gene LaVern FreemanFuneral services for Gene LaVern Freeman, 73, of Lumberton will be 1:00 pm Thursday at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following in Knupple Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Freeman died March 19, 2007 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.

A native of Silsbee, Mr. Freeman was a lifelong resident of this area. He was a car salesman.

Survivors include his wife Cheral DuBose Freeman of Lumberton; son Arles Gene Freeman of Lumberton; brother Leon Freeman of Silsbee; sister Maxine Luttrell of Silsbee and several nieces and nephews.

Cheral, I was so sorry to hear about your loss. I know Gene meant the world to you. As I write this, I remember the good times we had in Camp Fire. May God bless and keep you as you get through this time in your life. Love, Susan
