Angela Marie OverstreetAngela Marie (McNeely) Overstreet, 86, long time resident of Kountze, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, March 21, 2007 after a long illness. Funeral services will be 2:00 pm Saturday at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with Rev. Randall Jennings officiating. Interment will follow in Holland Cemetery in Kountze. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Friday at the funeral home.

At the time of her death she was a resident of Village on the Creek Care Center in Clute.

Angela was a retired nurse, working most of her career at Schlesinger’s Geriatric Center in Beaumont. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church in Kountze.

Mrs. Overstreet was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Sally Holland and two brothers, L. C. and Arthur Holland, Jr.

Survivors include one daughter Karen Kirkpatrick and husband Terry of Lake Jackson; one son Archie McNeely and wife Gail of New Boston; two brothers, Arnold Holland and wife Rebecca of Lufkin and Richard Holland and wife Ann of Kountze; three sisters, Joyce Williams of Kountze, Berneice Tanner of Onalaska and Betty Herrin and husband Dusty of Kountze. She had eight grandchildren: Rhonda Womack and husband Brent of Lake Jackson, Brad Barnes and wife Tisha of Weatherford, Jason Barnes of Kountze, Michael Ballard of Lake Jackson, Rick McNeely and wife Melissa of Longview, Robb McNeely and wife Stacy of Watts, OK, Shelly Jordan of New Boston and husband Jeffrey, proudly serving our country in the US Air Force at Osan AFB in Seoul, South Korea and Shelby McNeely of New Boston. She had 18 great-grandchildren: Teri, Dillon and Kyla McNeely of Longview, Robbie, Judy Gail and Buck McNeely of Watts, OK, Carrie, Julie, Meagon and Kail Barnes of Weatherford, Braydon, Bryson and Brylee Womack of Lake Jackson, Brittany and Sara Barnes and Bridgett Feemster of Beaumont and Chandler and Connor Jordan of New Boston. She also had 5 great-great grandchildren: Clayson and Kinslee Thetford of Longview, Seth Barnes and Caden and Jaylee Crouch of Weatherford. There were also numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and a host of extended family members and special friends.

Pallbearers will be her six grandsons, Brad and Jason Barnes, Michael Ballard, Brent Womack, Rick and Robb McNeely. Also serving as pallbearers will be James Frazier and Elvis Anderson.
