James E. 'J E' Sheffield Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1929 - 2007 Funeral services for James Ellison ‘J.E.’ Sheffield, 78, of Lumberton will be 11:00 am Friday at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee with interment following in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Chester. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Mr. Sheffield died April 24, 2007 at his residence in Lumberton. A native of Chester, J E was a longtime resident of this area. Before retiring, he worked as a mechanic for Donalson Motor Company. Survivors include his wife Ruby Mai Sheffield of Lumberton; sons Scott Sheffield of Troy and Billy Varley of Bryan; daughters Becky Rowley and husband Steve of Conroe, Lisa Jones of Trinity, Cathy Cook and husband Bobby of Conroe and Paula Brunner and husband Richard of Lumberton; grandchildren, Kelley Brown, Jennifer Steelman, Billy Ray Steelman, William Varley III, Katherine Varley and Jarrod Peavy and great grandchild Shane Brown.
