Funeral services for Betty L. Britt Richardson, 68, of Evadale will be 2:00 pm Friday at Central Baptist Church in Evadale with interment following in Antioch Cemetery in Buna. Visitation will begin at 5:00 pm Thursday at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee.
Betty passed away June 5, 2007 at St. Luke’s Episcopal Hospital in Houston.
A native of Beaumont, Betty was a longtime resident of Evadale. She was co-owner of Uncle Gilbert, Inc. and GB Sporting Goods. Betty was a faithful member of Central Baptist Church and loved spending time with her sisters in the Evadale Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 1111. Betty was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who was dedicated to her family. Nothing made her happier than spending time with and being surrounded by her family and loved ones. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include her husband of more than 50 years, Gilbert B. Richardson of Evadale; daughters, Cindy King and husband Billy of Plano and Brenda Guidry and husband Randy of Evadale; son Nathan Richardson and wife Laurie of Evadale; grandchildren, April Love and husband Jim of Evadale, Robert Day, Chris Day and Gage Marshall of Plano, Julee Ferguson, Cindy Ferguson and Rikki Ferguson of Evadale and Amanda Richardson, Clint Richardson and Hope Richardson of Evadale and great grandson Seth Crumpton of Evadale. Betty is also survived by her brother Gill Britt of Nevada; sisters Zelma Smith of Lumberton and Wanda Rogers of California; brother-in-law Mack Richardson and wife Ann of Florida; sister-in-law Nancy Ratley of Beaumont; aunts and uncles Millard and Helen Tipton and Isles and Geneva Tipton. She also leaves behind her extended family, Larry Crumpton, Rachel Guidry, Claire LeJuiene, Charlie Guidry and Jordan Guidry as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and countless friends.
