Charles Arthur Roberts Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1935 - 2007 Charles Arthur Roberts Funeral services for Charles Arthur Roberts, 72, of Hillister will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday June 14, 2007 at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. Interment will follow at Hooks Cemetery in Kountze. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm Wednesday. Mr. Roberts died June 11, 2007 at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Born in Kountze he was a longtime resident of Hillister and was a Deacon at Hillister Baptist Church. Mr. Roberts retired as a pipe fitter from Local 195 and later retired from Merit Energy. Survivors include wife Frances Roberts of Hillister; son Rick Roberts and daughter-in-law Debra of Spring and Hoot Roberts of Buna; daughter Monica Boyd of Lumberton; grandchildren Justin, Josh, Ashley, Tyler, Campbell and Maggie. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Hillister Baptist Family Life Center Fund, P.O. Box 456, Hillister, Texas 77624

What a great loss anyone who knew Charlie must be experiencing. I cannot put into words my devastation in hearing the news. What a mentor he has been in my life. God Bless Francis and family as I continue to lift them up in prayer.

Our small 1953 class of 18 has now lost its' first member. Charlie will be long remembered by each of us as well I'm sure by a host of friends and family as a quiet but good man. My sympathies go out to Frances and his entire family. My God Bless each of you. Dale Hillyer
