James Walton Singletary “Jim”, 71 years old of Fred, Texas passed away June 28, 2007. He was preceded in death by his parents, Milton and Abbie Lee Singletary, a brother, Ed Singletary and a wife Ellavease (Sissy) Smith Singletary.
Mr. Singletary proudly served his country with the Navy during the Korean Conflict.
Graveside funeral services will be 10:00 am Monday at Franks Branch Cemetery in Fred under the direction of Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee. Visitation will begin at 5 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, Janie Elkins Singletary; sister Maree Johnson and husband Pat of Kirbyville; brother Wade Singletary of Fred and sister Joy Singletary of Plano.
Children: John and wife Sandy of Fred, Jim and Kathyrn May of Boston, Massachusetts, Bobby and wife Lisa of Milton, Vermont, Royce Ann and husband Mike McGee of Baltimore, Maryland, James and wife Karen of Garland, Texas, Don Elkins, Jr. and wife Teena and Bruce Elkins and wife Shawn all of Kountze.
Grandchildren Joseph and Stephen Singletary, Patrick and Kristy May, Cody, Haley and Emily May, Eric, Ashley, and Leela Singletary, Donnie and Devin Elkins, Corey Elkins, Jeremy and Hayley Martinka and five great grandsons.
