Gene Paul Warden Click for Condolences      Printable Version 1938 - 2007 Funeral services for Gene Paul Warden, 68, of Silsbee will be 5:00 PM Sunday at Farmer Funeral Home with interment following in R. S. Farmer Memorial Cemetery in Silsbee. Mr. Warden died August 10, 2007 at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Beaumont. Gene was born in Longview and was a lifelong Silsbee resident. He was a retired forrester with Kirby Lumber Company. He loved going to his grandchildren’s ballgames and was an avid Texas Aggie fan. Survivors include sons Robert Nixon of Port Arthur and Julian Nixon of Silsbee; daughters Carolyn Leyendecker of Evadale and Sue Welch of Dickenson; brother Tom Warden of Junction; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Lions Crippled Children Camp P O Box 290508, Kerrville, Texas 78029

Gene was one of the best friends I'll ever have. WE met at school 40 years ago and have remained best friends since. Good bye old friend I'll never forget you.
