1961 - 2007
Patrick Henry Marshall known to many as "Uncle Pat" was born October 27, 1961 in Princeton, West Virginia to the late Henry & Helen Lee Marshall. He recieved his early education in the public schools of Mercer County, WV. Patrick started his journey of making Huntington his home in 1997 and was a four year member of the Spirit of the Lord United Holy Church. Not only was Elder Nathaniel Ward Patrick's pastor, he was a life long friend. Patrick brought much joy to the church through his membership and found great pleasure in listening to the children of the church sing and praise. Patrick was blessed to have many loving and supportive individuals in his life and he felt this to be such a blessing. Patrick returned his gift by love. His love was evident through the smiles that he created along the way. "Uncle Pat" touched many lives; women, men, and children - both young and old. His memory will be alive within those lives forever. Patrick never gave up his faith in the Lord Christ no matter how rough the road became. In honor of him, I will say that "Our greatest glory consist not in never falling, but in rising everytime we fall." On Tuesday, September 11, 2007 Patrick was called to join his parents and other friends and loved ones who preceded him in death. Patrick left this world with a desire and faith of joining the Father. He leaves to cherish his memory: son, Jordyn Patrick Marshall, niece, Chensla "Shinka" Lee, great neices, Youlanda and Tiara Lee, great nephew, Lamont Lee, brothers, Steve Marshall and Dale Lee, sister Beth Marshall, aunts, Rosa Marshall, Maxine Jacksom, Bernice Tarrison and Francis Penn. Uncles, Walter Marshall, cousin, Mexheal Jackson and countless Borthers and Sisters in Christ as well as numerious friends. "Uncle Pat" you will be dearly missed and although our hearts are saddened by our loss, we take refuge in the fact that we know that when judgment day comes, you will be standing at the Gates awaiting our arrival. You will be missed in the body, but forever rejoiced in the Spirit. Services will be 6:00PM Saturday, September 15 at Spirit of the Lord United Holy Church, with Elder Nathaniel Tucker Ward, officiating. Friends amy call form 5:00PM until the time of the service at the church. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to Spirit of the Lord United Holy Church.
