Glenn Alexander Work Glen Alexander Work, 66, passed away on September 27, 2007 at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston. Mr. Work is survived by his wife Sue Work, his son Scott Work and his wife Dana, his son Christ Work and his wife Shannon and his grandchildren David, Jordan, Ethan, Abby and Patrick Work, all of Houston. He is also survived by his sister Sonya Perry of Humble, Texas; his brother Gene Work and his wife Sissy of Jacksonville, Texas and his nieces and nephews.

Mr. Work was a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin, McNeese University in Lake Charles and Kountze High School. He was a long time resident of Beaumont, spent his career as a chemical engineer and retired as the Plant Manager of the PD Glycol plant in Beaumont. He was an active deacon at First Baptist Church in Beaumont and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren, golfing and working on his farm in Kountze.

A gathering of family and friends will be at the First Baptist Church Chapel at 900 Calder in Beaumont on Saturday, September 29, 2007 from 5pm to 8pm. The funeral service will be at First Baptist Church at 3pm on Sunday, September 30, 2007. The burial will follow immediately afterward at the Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Beaumont, PO Box 1352, Beaumont, TX 77701 or First Baptist Church of Kountze, 100 Monroe, Kountze, TX 77625.

Dear Family, I was a dear friend of Glenn's mother, Wilma and feel as though I know all her family. She loved each of you so much and talked of you all the time. Just want you to know you are in my thoughts and prayers in this sad time. Sincerely, Jettie Young
