Pam- We are so sorry to hear about your loss. We were john's neighbor for several years (condo's) and have nothing but wonderful memories of him and his dogs. We know there is nothing that can be said to ease the pain right now but just know time heals everything. You and your family will be in our thoughts and prayers!!

To John's family, I am very sorry to hear that he has passed. I had the pleasure of serving with John while I was assigned to 2/19th several years ago, where we became good friends. I always enjoyed talking and joking with him about things going on in our lives during drill. He had a great sense of humor, a straight forward professional attitude toward everything he did, and was a true patriot. He did an outstanding job taking care of the troops of the battalion, did his job very well, and cared deeply about his work. We shared many laughs together and I am truly sorry he is no longer with us. There are very few people you meet during your life that you can call a true friend, and he was one of mine. He will be missed.

Pam, We were saddened to hear of your family's loss. We are confident that many prayers and petitions have been made to God in your behalf and trust you will find hope and comfort from scriptures such as Romans 15:4, John 5:28,29 , Acts 24:15 and Revelation 21:3,4. How we long for the restoration of paridasaic conditions here on earth under the rulership of God's government as our lord Jesus taught " Let Thy Kingdom Come".

My dearest Pam and Chad, I am so heartsick to hear of your loss. You have always been there for me in times of woe, trouble, worry, and most of all an unconditional friendship. You brought me full circle to know the Lord, through you a light shines so brightly, both of you. Please know that I and Ike are with you in spirit and love. I only wish i could send a hug and some consolation to you through this computer. You are both welcome to come and "get away" anytime you want/need/or just feel like it. I know you have a great support system, but we are also ALWAYS here. Thank you for your wonderful husband's service to our nation. It is a rarity to find someone so dedicated and determined to protect those he doesn't even know, and keep America safe and free. What John did for America will last forever, his dedication will always be appreciated and honored, because of great men like him we are able to be a nation free...and freedom certainly isn't free but he never faltered in his dedication. Ike and I admire that so much and want you to know that we know he is guarding heaven's gate....waiting in complete restored body. He is with the Lord. And we are both so glad he joined the church, now you know where he is, in paradise where no wars are raging and he is at peace. Know you can call me anytime, and I mean ANYTIME. We love you both dearly, please lean on us if you need one single thing. Our deepest deepest condolences and christian love to you both. Chad, you can come anytime you please, I love you bud. Please take care and know Ike and I are always here!

I would just wish to express my heartfelt condolences to your family. You are neighbors of mine, and although I did not know you. It was obvious that he took pride in being neat and enjoying the river. I thank him for his many years of service to our country, so that so many more people could experience what freedom means. God Bless your family, and God Bless The United States of America. Freedom is not free. Joanne Harries & Dustin Mays
